Community Engagement Boost

This morning I met with the North Florida MS Society Community Engagement staff and after everyone gave their updates, I heard the chapter President say, "Tasha, is doing amazing things in Tallahassee!" and to "Reach out to Tasha for ideas!" Let's get it!

With some of the events and activities being sunset in Tallahassee, all of our local efforts fall on the shoulders of the volunteers. Like me! This weekend is our last self-help group meeting of the year but our community council is hard at work planning events for 2024. From Advocacy to Self Help Group Lead, Chair of the Community Council, MS Walk Your Way Captain and MS Luncheon Committee member, I am excited about what's the come.

I'm looking forward to big things with our Self-Help Group and Community Council. TLHMSGROUP.ORG
You can join Team Tasha for the 2024 Walk Campaign!! More details to come on the LOCAL walk. My goal is $2,500. >>> tinyurl.com/TeamTasha2024

Raising Awareness

“I had no idea what MS was”: Tallahassee woman recalls stunning diagnosis

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Natasha Acoff remembers it like it was yesterday.
She woke up on Easter morning in 2014, and the whole left side of her body was numb. She knew the next day something was terribly wrong.  “I got up and headed to work, and I’m traveling through the airports like … something is not right. Something is not right,” she recalled. Acoff went to the emergency room as soon as her plane landed in New Jersey.

On My Nerves

As I do MOST Januarys I begin my Walk MS Campaign and start rallying the troops to donate and walk on my team. This year's Team theme was "GlobeTrotting" for MS. I wanted to see if I could get people from across the country/world to donate!

Along with that, since the superbowl is happening soon, I figured I'd try my hand at Superbowl Squares. and get people to donate!
